About The Role

 

Join our Project Management and Customer Service team in a hybrid role that blends order processing and project coordination. 

 

A day in the life of a Customer Service Associate may include the following: 

  • Efficiently managing the orders inbox, ensuring accurate allocation and sorting.

  • Preparing and entering customer data with a focus on accuracy and deadlines.

  • Reviewing and correcting data errors and verifying output.

  • Handling digital and phone correspondence with various stakeholders.

  • Weekly auditing of orders inbox to ensure compliance.

  • Redirecting and revising out-of-territory purchase orders.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with agency, customer, and distributor contacts.

  • Supporting project schedules, managing communications, and ensuring timely completion.

  • Processing submittals and researching lead times.

  • Maintaining customer files and participating actively in team meetings.

  • Engaging in cross-training for various customer service functions.

  • Gradually taking on entry-level project management responsibilities.

Requirements

  

Technically Speaking, You Have

  • A high school diploma or equivalent

  • At least 2 years of experience in customer service and/or administrative duties 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software

  • The ability to work independently, prioritize simultaneous assignments with accuracy and efficiency 

 

Bonus Points For Having

  • 1-2 years of experience with project coordination or project management 

  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software – extra bonus points if you’ve used Oasis 

  • A proficient understanding of lighting components (fixtures, lamps, ballasts, etc.)

  • Knowledge of commercial lighting, theatrical lighting, or other experience in the industry

  • The ability to read blueprints or drawings and interpret lighting structures within them
